NeverStrip Micron Polishing for Concrete™

Faster polished concrete to a 1600 grit appearance is achieved with NeverStrip.. This is a faster System compared to mechanical polishing systems. The labor costs are much less for a comparable or equal appearance.

NeverStrip and a global concrete equipment manufacturer recently worked together. We developed polished concrete four different ways. Step 1 used 100 grit hybrid diamonds to polish the concrete. Next, diamond tooling to 800,, 1600 and 3000 grit polished the concrete. Then, we compared the four.

We discovered, the NeverStrip concrete looked like the polished concrete to 1600 grit.

The following table quantifies activities with each slab using the NeverStrip Micron Polishing System for Concrete and three mechanical polishing systems to 800, 1600 and 3000 grit levels, respectively.

Upon completion of the above for each concrete slab, NeverStrip personnel, the Global equipment manufacturer and the NeverStrip Dealer representative all agreed the NeverStrip Micron Polishing System for Concrete with only two diamond steps with the planetary grinder/polisher had an appearance, clarity and shine essentially equal to the 1600 grit mechanical polish system.

All three also agreed the NeverStrip exhibited a “richer” appearance.

The next table shows the estimated man labor hours associated with each of the four Systems using a 24″, 220V planetary equipment and a 2500 RPM propane machine for burnishing.

The NeverStrip Micron Polish System for Concrete estimated labor hours for 5,000 sq. feet is 28 labor hours. 42% less than the 1600 Grit Mechanical Polish System with a similar overall appearance.

These labor hours should closely follow in relative terms the total elapsed time required to complete these type of projects. This analysis demonstrates Neverstrip Micron Polishing for Concrete provides faster polished concrete.
